Keeping track of your finances can be quite challenging, even with only a few accounts. Some use spreadsheets, others rely on programs such as Microsoft Money or Quicken, and those who like it “plain and simple” use pen and paper. While any effort to keep track of your finances should be commended, some options are just better than others. One option and one we highly recommend is Yodlee.
Yodlee is a personal finance aggregator that gives you a complete, up-to-date financial overview. You can see how much money you have (or don’t have) at any given time. You add your login information from each of your financial accounts and Yodlee takes care of the rest. Yodlee allows you to see your credit card, bank, investment, reward account balances, and more on one screen. For those worried about security (even though you may use passwords such as fluffy), Yodlee provides services for several large banks and financial institutions such as Bank of America.
Since you will be storing all of your financial account information in one place we HIGHLY recommend using a secure password that contains letters, numbers, and special characters. Adding all of your accounts to Yodlee takes a few minutes to setup, and a little longer to customize, but we guarantee that it is well worth it. If you get overwhelmed easy or have a large number of financial accounts, you can add 1-2 accounts each day. No need to stress yourself out and try to get it all done at once.
